As the England Euro 2016 squad is announced on Monday, a new film from  shows how people from all backgrounds in England are coming together to get behind the England team with the #WeAreAllEngland campaign.

Filmed with AHF FC  in Blackburn, the one-minute film shows the seven and eight-year-old Muslim kids at AHF FC’s Saturday football practice doing their England goal celebrations, cheering for England and talking about why they hope their team will win at Euro 2016 this summer.

The #WeAreAllEngland campaign offers people from all faiths and ethnic backgrounds in England a chance to show their support for the England team by posting and sharing a picture of themselves supporting England, or doing their own ‘England goal celebration’, on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter using the #WeAreAllEngland hashtag.

Speaking in the film, Shayk Imtiaz Damiel, Founder of AHF, said :

“Football has a uniting power, bringing people of different races, different backgrounds all together to support one team. And there’s nothing greater than supporting your own national team – that’s why we’re supporting #WeAreAllEngland.”

England fans in Southampton have also shown their support for the campaign, in a film from the city’s St George’s Day Festival.

Sunder Katwala, Director of British Future, said:
“#WeAreAllEngland is a simple campaign to show how the England team brings us all together – and that England is at its best when we all feel we can belong to it.
“There is no loyalty test here – just a chance for everyone who wants to join in to demonstrate that we can all show our pride, together, in the nation we are today.”

The #WeAreAllEngland campaign is supported by Kick it Out, Facebook, the Islamic Society of Britain, Hindu Council UK, City Sikhs, Church of England Diocese of London, Jewish Council for Racial Equality, the Centre for English Identity and Politics at Winchester University, Eastern Eye, Abu Hanifah Foundation, Rich Mix, New Horizons in British Islam, Common Vision, Reform Judaism and the British Muslim Forum.
