A service on Saturday 22 June will take place to celebrate the first Windrush Day. The service, which is on 65th anniversary of the arrival of the MV Empire Windrush, will hear from Sam King MBE (pictured) about his hopes and experiences when he arrived in Britain on the ship in 1948. A celebration of the positive impact of immigration, the service will is take place at Bloomsbury Baptist Church, starting at 3pm.
