High levels of worklessness represent a human disaster for individuals and families, but also have a major impact on the nation’s economy and public finances. At this joint IPPR / TUC seminar, the case for full employment as a national strategic priority will be discussed, what full employment would mean in contemporary Britain will be explored and the policy reforms needed to shift the UK towards a full employment economy will be debated.
