Olympic Torch Relay

Ahead of this summer’s London Olympics, the Olympic torch will be take a 70-day journey around the UK taking it within 10 miles of 95% of the country’s population.

Over the course of its journey 80,000 people will carry the torch, each nominated as a deserving bearer of the Olympic flame.

The torch will travel from  Shetland to Jersey and every region in between, before ending up in the Olympic stadium in Stratford for the opening ceremony on 27th July.
