Immigration white paper a shake-up of nearly every part of the system. Headline thoughts:
- Govt raising Skilled Worker threshold back to graduate level jobs. According to govt assessment, this is the policy with biggest impact on numbers. Hospitality likely to be most affected
"Fusing control and contribution with compassion would resonate with Britain, if the citizenship agenda which came with it was more proactive than punitive." - new column from @sundersays on the #ImmigrationWhitePaper for @easterneye

@thefabians Finally, on the politics, the electorate do want to see net migration reduced from the historic high reached under the Tories.
But views are nuanced.
Polling by @britishfuture shows that just 22% want fewer migrants for social care. 44% would like to see more 6/6
Most of the public (71%) DON'T want to see reductions in migration of fill care home workers, according to our Focaldata poll

Our Director @sundersays is speaking at a @PoppyLegion event at the Senedd in Cardiff later today.
