Event type: Launch EventDate: 14/05/2024
Location: House of Commons, UK

Kim Leadbeater MP chaired a well-attended event in Parliament hosted by the APPG on Social Integration, to launch the final report of our Shared Goals project on football and social connection
British Future Director Sunder Katwala was joined on the panel by Rhiannon Maher, EDI Manager at Brentford FC; Hayley Bennett of Nutmegs and Spirit of 2012; and Humayun Islam, who spoke about his work with Bradford’s Baji Bantams.
British Future Researcher Jake Puddle, who led the Shared Goals project, presented key research findings and recommendations.
We were delighted to have so many people in the audience responding positively to the report, including from the English Football League Trust, Belong, the Premier League, Amnesty International UK, Football Beyond Borders, Kick it Out, Fair Game UK, Spirit of 2012 and from the two clubs that partnered with us on the Shared Goals project, Brentford FC and Huddersfield Town AFC.
