Eurovision: How should we work with Europe?
Event type:Date:
Location: Dickens room, Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, Free Trade Hall, Peter Street, Manchester M2 5GP
David Cameron has promised to repatriate significant powers from the EU, before a proposed referendum during the next parliament. What these demands will look like, and how successful they will be, will shape both the referendum in 2017 and Britain’s future relationship with the continent.
This Demos event will explore the key questions that remain with regard to the transfer of powers, the referendum, and the future of Britain’s relationship with the EU. What powers does the Prime Minister want to repatriate? What powers will European leaders let him repatriate? And what does the public really want when it comes to Europe?
Demos bring together a panel of policymakers and experts to discuss these questions and more.
