St. George’s Day Luncheon
Event type:Date:
Location: Cardinal Heenan Centre, 326 High Road, Ilford, Essex
The Refugee and Migrant Forum of East London is marking St. George’s Day 2012 with a special lunch time celebration.
The meeting will start with a quiz based on questions from the Citizenship test and will be followed by a debate on what it means to be English.
Topics will include how should those new to the country compete with rival demands to both integrate and retain their identity, and what more can be done to help people forge a positive identity that is not based solely on the colour of their skin.
