The Great British Breakfast

Event type:
Date:
Location: Punch Tavern, Fleet Street

Mark Easton, BBC Home News Editor and author of Britain etc., joined British Future at the Punch Tavern on Fleet Street for a lively, interactive debate.

Audience members jumped to their feet to argue what has been the most influential factor on modern British society. The advocates argued for monarchy, faith, pubs, literature and migration. A Dragon’s Den-style panel  held court over the proceedings and the event culminated with a vote. Has the monarchy had more an impact than Britain’s distinctive sense of humour? Has Britain’s rich literary heritage been more influential than our shared love of roast dinners and pubs? The debate was fast and furious.

Breakfast, bacon butties and bunting were provided.
